We still live in a society that upholds the idea that men are strong and don’t need help. Many men don’t like to admit they are struggling and need support, which is why so many are in denial about their addiction. But it’s Ok to ask for help, especially if it means you can gain the skills to need to take back control of your life.
Many men who struggle with substance abuse thrive in the environment at Navis because they feel safe addressing deeply personal issues and can focus solely on recovery and healing as members of the a strong community.
Our men get the opportunity to deal with gender specific issues such as male cultural roles and stereotypes. We recognize that men typically take longer to let their guard down, build rapport, and open up. Recovery is a lifestyle; one that requires members to fully immerse themselves in healing. At Navis, we work hard to provide high-quality programming and a community that enables our clients to focus on getting well.
Our program is highly specialized, as we adhere to individualized treatment philosophy and take a gender-specific approach. We gear our programming specifically toward the pressures men face, and we also take care in creating a community-based environment through shared experiences as it relates to their recovery.
